Title: Bachelor’s degree or Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry

Lenght of study: 4 years (Bachelor of Arts) and 4 years (Bachelor’s degree)

The course was created in: 2004 (Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor’s degree)

Period: Evening

Category: Classroom course

Requirement: High School Degree

Evaluation of MEC : Grade 4 (ranging from 1 to 5) at the Evaluation of the Brazilian Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC) for both courses.

About the course

The Chemistry course provides students with access to multidisciplinary knowledge, and investigation on how compounds react to pressure and temperature changes, among other factors. There are two undergraduate possibilities: Bachelor’s degree or Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry.

The Bachelor of Arts Degree will enable you to have a competent formation guided by ethical and humanistic principles, providing a broader view about Chemistry and everything it comprises. The Bachelor’s degree will enable you to analyze substances and compounds, identify their physical-chemical characteristics, such as hardness or toxicity.

After graduating as a Bachelor in Chemistry, you will be qualified for working with food, beverage, cosmetics, soft drink, and sanitizers, performing physical-chemical, toxicological, and legal analyses, as well as forensic chemistry for crime investigation. The Bachelor of Arts will work in the education area and may supervise and conduct technical inspections and surveys.
