About the course

The course is designed to provide the student with a broad panorama of the Portuguese language and its literature, featuring resources and the opportunity of expanding knowledge to enable a modern and dynamic understanding of the linguistic phenomena and the literary art employing theoretical and practical classes, scientific production activities, and technical visits.

The Portuguese language and literature fields currently feature a range of options beyond teaching. The course expands possibilities in the labor market, opening other positions, such as Portuguese language advisory in companies and literary research. Also, the fields also have several masters and doctorate programs which students with a specialist title may join to dedicate themselves to an academic career and Higher Education institutions.
