About the course

The student will become qualified and prepared to work as a specialist in the cardiorespiratory area in hospitals (ward, ICU, and postoperative unit).

The course is designed for physical therapists that are specifically interested in the cardiorespiratory system and concerned about providing a better quality of life for patients suffering from such disorders, intervening in the several phases of the physical disorder and the treatment process, besides trying to minimize complications resulting from the hospitalization process.

After graduating, the physical therapist will be able to work in the planning, follow-up, assessment, and physical therapy treatment of hospitalized patients, with acute or chronic illnesses, as well as entering the clinical research field and developing scientific research.
